What are the precautions when disassembling and inspecting WPKA100-60-A worm gear reducer

When disassembling and inspecting the WPKA100-60-A worm gear reducer, the following key points should be noted, combined with professional standards and practical experience:
1、 Safety preparation and tool selection

Power outage and warning: The power must be cut off and a warning sign must be hung to ensure that the equipment completely stops running

Special tool usage: Disassembling bearings requires a special puller or press, and direct hammering is prohibited to avoid damage to the shaft neck or bearing raceway.

Marking and recording: Mark the key components such as worm gear, worm gear, bearings, etc., and record the original installation position and fit clearance (such as the normal side clearance of worm gear and worm gear is 0.15-0.3mm).

2、 Key points for disassembly and assembly of core components

1. Disassembly of worm gear:

First, remove the box cover screws and locating pins, use the lifting screws to separate the box body, and protect the joint surface during lifting.

Check the pitting and bonding of the worm gear tooth surface, and measure the wear of the worm gear thread scratches (if the tooth thickness decreases by more than 10%, it needs to be replaced).

2‌. Bearing treatment:

When hot installing bearings, the oil temperature should be controlled at 120 ± 5 ℃ to avoid a decrease in hardness caused by flame heating.

Angular contact bearings need to be installed back-to-back, with pre tightening force controlled within ± 5% of the manufacturer's parameters.

3、 Cleaning and Inspection Standards

Oil management: Thoroughly drain the old oil, clean the oil tank 2-3 times with kerosene, and add worm gear special oil (such as L-CKE/P 220) to the oil mark center line.

Mesh inspection:

Manually rotate the worm gear to test its flexibility. If it is stuck, check for rust or foreign objects on the tooth surface.

Check the contact spots of the worm gear using the coloring method. If the tooth height direction is ≥ 45% and the tooth length direction is ≥ 60%, it is qualified.

4、 Assembly accuracy control

Axis adjustment: The perpendicularity error of the worm gear axis is ≤ 0.02mm/m, and the center distance deviation is ≤ 0.1mm.

Test requirements:

No load test for 2 hours, bearing temperature rise ≤ 60 ℃.

Gradually load to rated torque, monitor vibration speed ≤ 6.3mm/s (ISO standard).

5、 Special precautions

Material matching: ZCuSn10P1 tin bronze is preferred for worm gear, and 45 # steel quenching and tempering surface hardening (HRC45-50) is required for worm gear.

Sealing inspection: Replace the double lip oil seal (with the lip facing the oil chamber) to prevent oil leakage from the worm end.
