How to determine the input speed of ZDY125-4-1 gear reducer

The most direct way to determine the input speed of the ZDY125-4-1 gear reducer is to check the markings on the equipment nameplate or instruction manual. If the nameplate information is missing, you can calculate it in the following two ways:

1. Reverse inference based on output speed and reduction ratio
First, confirm the output speed (such as the actual speed required by the equipment) and reduction ratio (the "4" in the model usually represents a ratio of 4:1), and then use the formula:
Input speed=output speed x reduction ratio
For example, if the output speed is 100rpm, then the input speed is 400rpm, which is 100 × 4.

2. Calculated by motor speed and transmission ratio
If the speed of the driving motor (such as 1450rpm) and the transmission ratio (such as 4:1) are known, then the input speed is:
Input speed=motor speed ÷ transmission ratio
That is 1450 ÷ 4 ≈ 362.5rpm.
