How to choose the appropriate lubricating grease when replacing the bearings of TY140-71-5.5KW reducer
Choose TY140-71-5.5KW reducer bearing grease that matches the bearing operating conditions (load, temperature, speed), with priority given to lithium based or composite lithium based grease. The key indicators should meet the requirements of "needle penetration 220-250, drop point ≥ 180 ℃, anti-wear extreme pressure grade ≥ EP2".
1、 Core selection criteria
Suitable load and speed: The bearings of this model of reducer are for medium load and low to medium speed (output speed is about 150-300r/min), and lubricating grease with anti-wear and extreme pressure performance should be selected to avoid oil film rupture under heavy load.
Matching working temperature: During the operation of the reducer, the bearing temperature is usually ≤ 80 ℃, and the lubricating grease drip point needs to be 30-50 ℃ higher than the maximum working temperature to ensure that it is not lost at high temperatures.

Compatible working environment: If the equipment is used in dusty and humid environments, it is necessary to choose lubricating grease with good waterproof and dustproof properties to prevent impurities from entering and affecting the lubrication effect.
2、 Recommended types and specifications of lubricating grease
Preferred type: Universal lithium based grease (GB/T 7324-2010) or composite lithium based grease, the former is suitable for conventional working conditions, while the latter has stronger resistance to high temperatures and loads.
Key indicator requirements:
Penetration (25 ℃, 0.1mm): 220-250, ensuring moderate fluidity of the lubricating grease and even coverage of the bearing contact surface.
Drip point: ≥ 180 ℃, to avoid melting and leakage of lubricating grease at high temperatures.
Anti wear extreme pressure rating: ≥ EP2, meeting the wear resistance requirements of medium load bearings.
Waterproof: ≥ Level 1 (GB/T 512-2012), preventing grease emulsification failure in humid environments.
3、 Selection precautions
Avoid mixing different types of lubricating grease (such as lithium based and calcium based), as their chemical compositions may conflict and cause the grease to harden or fail.
Do not use lubricating grease with low drop point (<150 ℃) or low penetration (<200), as the former is prone to high-temperature loss and the latter has poor fluidity and cannot be fully lubricated.
If the equipment operates under high temperature (>90 ℃) or heavy load conditions for a long time, it can be upgraded to polyurea based grease, which has better high temperature resistance and extreme pressure resistance.
