How to choose the right seal for a TY115-18-7.5KW hard-toothed gear reducer
Select the sealing components suitable for TY115-18-7.5KW hard tooth surface gear reducer. The specific selection method is as follows:
Considering working temperature: If the working temperature of TY115-18-7.5KW hard tooth surface gear reducer is between -30 ℃ and 120 ℃, nitrile rubber (NBR) material seals such as nitrile skeleton oil seals can be selected, which have high cost-effectiveness and mineral oil resistance; If the working temperature is high, reaching 100 ℃ to 200 ℃, FKM material seals should be selected, such as FKM TC skeleton oil seals, which have good high temperature resistance and corrosion resistance.

Considering the working medium: As gearboxes usually use lubricating oil or gear oil as the working medium, nitrile rubber (NBR) seals are generally sufficient to meet the requirements; But if the lubricating oil contains special components such as extreme pressure additives, it is recommended to use fluororubber (FKM) seals to improve chemical corrosion resistance.
Determine the sealing type: For the rotating shaft seal of the reducer, a lip seal, such as a skeleton oil seal, can be used to achieve sealing by tightly adhering to the shaft surface with the elasticity of the lip; If it is a static seal, such as sealing the joint surface of the end cap and the box, extrusion type seals such as O-rings and rectangular rings can be selected.
Consider pressure and speed: If the working pressure of the reducer is low-pressure static sealing (≤ 1MPa), O-ring (NBR/FKM) or rubber gasket can meet the requirements; If it is a medium high pressure dynamic seal (1-30MPa), a lip seal ring (NBR/FKM+spring), such as a skeleton oil seal, needs to be selected. For situations with high rotational speeds, low friction materials such as PTFE filled carbon fiber or metal bellows seals can be selected.
Pay attention to installation dimensions: The specifications of the seal need to match the shaft diameter and installation dimensions of the reducer to ensure a tight fit between the seal and the shaft and prevent leakage. For example, select the appropriate inner diameter skeleton oil seal based on the size of the shaft diameter.
