In addition to the pre installation inspection, installation process precautions, post installation inspection and maintenance mentioned earlier, there are also some methods to avoid wear on the keyway during the installation of ZSY355 gearbox:
Choose the appropriate key and keyway to match: Select the appropriate key according to the shaft diameter and the size of the transmitted torque according to the standard. The fitting tolerance between the key and keyway should meet the design requirements. Generally, a tight transition fit is used to ensure the fixation of the key in the keyway and avoid relative sliding wear caused by looseness. For example, for general mechanical transmissions, the fit tolerance between keys and keyways can be controlled within the range of H7/k6 or H7/js6.

Adopting a reasonable lubrication method: Applying an appropriate amount of grease or oil during the installation of keys and keyways can reduce the frictional resistance during installation and prevent surface strain on the keyways. During the operation of the gearbox, it is also necessary to ensure a good lubrication system, so that the keyway area can receive sufficient lubrication and reduce wear. Suitable lubricating oil can be selected according to the working environment and requirements of the gearbox. For example, in high temperature environments, lubricating oil with high flash point and low viscosity should be selected; In humid environments, lubricating oil with good rust prevention properties should be selected.
Surface treatment: Proper hardening treatment, such as nitriding, quenching, etc., can be applied to the surface of the keyway and key at the shaft end to improve surface hardness and wear resistance, and reduce the occurrence of wear. At the same time, surface treatment can also improve the corrosion resistance of keyways and keys, preventing a decrease in their fitting accuracy and strength due to corrosion. For example, for some gearbox shaft end keyways that bear large loads, nitriding treatment can be used to achieve surface hardness of HV900-HV1200, effectively improving their wear resistance and corrosion resistance.
