How to determine the optimal gear ratio for the ZS60 cylindrical gear reducer.

To determine the optimal speed ratio of ZS60 cylindrical gear reducer, it is necessary to comprehensively consider factors such as load demand, motor speed, and transmission efficiency. The specific methods are as follows:

Calculate based on load torque and speed requirements: Firstly, clarify the required output torque (T) and output speed (n2) of the working mechanism, as well as the rated power (P1) and speed (n1) of the motor.

Considering load characteristics: If it is an impact load such as a crusher, a certain margin should be left in the selection of speed ratio, and the speed ratio tolerance zone can be set to ± 5%; For constant loads such as conveyor belts, standard speed ratios can be used; If there is an alternating load such as a crane, an additional 20% safety factor is required to ensure stable operation of the gearbox under different working conditions.

Pay attention to transmission efficiency: The transmission efficiency of the reducer varies in different speed ratio ranges. Generally speaking, when the speed ratio is between 5-20, the efficiency can reach 96% -98%; When the speed ratio is between 20-50, the efficiency is 92% -95%; When the speed ratio is between 50-100, the efficiency is between 88% and 91%. It is advisable to choose a speed ratio range with higher efficiency as much as possible to reduce energy loss and lower operating costs.

Perform thermal power verification: Under high-speed ratio conditions, it is necessary to verify the thermal power value to ensure that the calculated thermal power value does not exceed the allowable thermal power of the gearbox, otherwise it may cause gearbox failure due to overheating.

Considering installation space limitations: If the installation space is compact, a planetary gear structure can be considered, which can achieve a speed ratio of 1:100 or more under the same volume; If there is relatively ample space, a regular cylindrical gear reducer can be chosen. At the same time, it is necessary to ensure that there is sufficient space for maintenance and heat dissipation between the reducer and surrounding equipment after installation.

Reference equipment experience speed ratio range: Different types of equipment usually have recommended speed ratio ranges, such as the recommended speed ratio range of 31.5-40 for mining crushers and 1:120 for CNC machine tool indexing mechanisms. You can refer to the experience speed ratio of similar devices and adjust it according to the specific requirements of your own equipment.
