What are the oil change steps for NGW-S72-31.5 planetary gear reducer
The following are the oil change steps and precautions for NGW-S72-31.5 planetary gear reducer, combined with industry standards and equipment characteristics:
1、 Preparation before oil change
Security protection
Wear goggles, oil resistant gloves, prepare an oil pan (capacity ≥ 5L) and sealing tape
Confirm that the equipment has completely shut down and cooled down to below 50 ℃ (the touch shell is not hot to the touch)

Tools and oils
Prepare a hex wrench (matching the specifications of the oil drain bolt), oil pump, funnel, and extreme pressure gear oil that meets the ISO VG 220 standard
Check the sealing of the new oil packaging and avoid using non factory recommended oils
2、 Oil change operation process
Discharge old oil
Loosen the top oil hole bolt of the reducer to release pressure, and then remove the bottom oil drain bolt (pay attention to the integrity of the gasket)
Tilt the equipment at a 15 ° angle to ensure that the old oil is completely drained, and observe the condition of the oil (metal debris or emulsification needs to be stopped for maintenance)
Cleaning and Inspection
Wipe the oil drain port and oil level window with cleaning agent, and check the wear of the gear meshing surface (tooth thickness reduction ≤ 10%)
Replace damaged oil seals or filters (if equipped)
3. Add new oil
Slowly inject new oil through the top refueling hole, and the oil level should reach the centerline of the window (excessive amount can cause oil leakage)
The reference formula for the first refueling amount is: Fuel quantity (L)=(transmission ratio x input speed) ÷ 1500 x 0.8
Example: When inputting at a speed ratio of 31.5 and 1500rpm, approximately 25.2L needs to be added
4. Trial operation verification
Run without load for 10 minutes, check the oil temperature (≤ 95 ℃), vibration (≤ 0.05mm), and leakage situation
After refueling to the centerline of the window, tighten all bolts (torque according to the instructions)
3、 Key precautions
Oil change cycle: It is recommended to replace it every 3000 hours or 6 months under heavy load conditions, and it can be extended to 8000 hours under light load conditions
Oil compatibility: It is strictly prohibited to mix different brands/models of oil, and old oil needs to be professionally recycled and disposed of
Environmental requirements: Avoid operating in environments with humidity>80% or temperature<5 ℃
