How to prevent abnormal noise in MBY630-4 gear reducer

To prevent abnormal noise in the MBY630-4 gear reducer, comprehensive measures need to be taken from multiple aspects such as design, installation, lubrication, maintenance, and environmental control. The specific measures are as follows:
1、 Design and Manufacturing Optimization

Gear parameter matching

Adopting helical gears or modified teeth design (such as drum teeth) to reduce meshing impact noise

Ensure that the tooth flank clearance is 0.001~0.002 times the modulus to avoid excessive clearance causing impact

Processing accuracy control

Gear tooth surface roughness ≤ Ra 0.8 μ m, using grinding or honing technology to reduce friction noise

2、 Installation and Debugging

Installation accuracy

Use a laser centering device to ensure that the coaxiality of the input/output shaft is ≤ 0.05mm/m, avoiding biased vibration

The torque for tightening the anchor bolts must comply with the equipment manual requirements (such as M24 bolt torque ≥ 300N · m)

2. Shock absorption measures

Install rubber shock absorbers (such as Shore hardness 60 ± 5) or spring isolators to reduce resonance transmission

3、 Lubrication management

Oil selection

Select ISO VG 220~320 lubricating oil (such as L-CKD 320) according to the load, and use synthetic ester oil for high temperature conditions

Lubrication maintenance

Replace lubricating oil every 2000 hours, reducing high dust environments to 1000 hours

Maintain the oil level observation window at a height of 1/2~2/3, and check the cooling system when the oil temperature exceeds 80 ℃

4、 Operation monitoring and maintenance

Status monitoring

Regularly detect vibration (≤ 2.5mm/s) and noise (≤ 85dB (A)), and conduct frequency spectrum analysis to eliminate gear meshing abnormalities

Oil ferrography analysis found that when the abrasive particle size is greater than 20 μ m, the machine is stopped to check the tooth surface

Regular maintenance

Check the gear wear (tooth thickness reduction ≤ 10%) and bearing clearance (≤ 0.1mm) every 6 months

Replace worn bearings (such as SKF 6318) or gear components to avoid chain damage

5、 Environment and load control

Load management

Avoid overloading (≤ 120% of rated torque), gradually load to rated value during startup

Environmental adaptation

Install an oil cooler (heat exchange area ≥ 5m ²) in high-temperature environments, and use a magnetic filter respirator in dusty environments

The above measures can systematically reduce noise risks, and it is recommended to establish maintenance records to track changes in key parameters
