Determine the appropriate oil level standard: Generally, the oil level height of the cycloidal pinwheel reducer should be at the center position of the oil gauge or sight glass.

Preparation work: Prepare lubricating oil that meets the requirements in advance. It is generally recommended to use N150 extreme pressure industrial gear oil at room temperature. If the working environment is special, it is necessary to choose the appropriate oil according to the reducer manual or consult the manufacturer. Meanwhile, prepare tools such as oil pans and wrenches.

Oil release operation (if lubricating oil needs to be replaced or the oil level is too high): First, stop the gearbox and cool it down to no combustion hazard. It is generally recommended to release the oil in a warm state, so that the viscosity of the oil is lower and the oil release is smoother. Then place an oil pan under the drain plug at the bottom of the reducer, use a wrench to unscrew the drain plug, drain the old or excess oil inside, and tighten the drain plug after draining.

Refueling operation: Unscrew the ventilation cap on the upper part of the reducer, slowly inject lubricating oil through the ventilation hole, pay attention to the oil gauge during the injection process, and stop refueling when the oil level approaches the centerline position of the oil gauge.

Check and confirm: After refueling, tighten the ventilation cap and wipe off the oil stains on the surface of the reducer. Then you can briefly start the gearbox and let it run for a moment to fully distribute the lubricating oil. Then stop the gearbox again and wait for a period of time to allow the lubricating oil to flow back. Observe the oil level gauge to ensure that it is still within the appropriate range. If there is a deviation, you can add or discharge the lubricating oil appropriately for adjustment.
