What are the details to pay attention to when replacing the gears of CWO160-12.5-2F worm gear reducer

When replacing the gears of the CWO160-12.5-2F worm gear reducer, the following details should be noted:

Preparation before replacement

Confirm gear parameters: The modulus and pressure angle of the new gear must be consistent with the original gear. For worm gears, it is also necessary to ensure that the lead angle of the worm matches the helix angle of the worm gear, with an error of ≤ 0.5 °.

Check gear quality: Verify the material certification documents of the new gear, confirm that its hardness and other parameters meet the requirements, and recommend using professional instruments to detect tooth profile tolerances to ensure that profile deviations are within the allowable range.

Prepare tools and site: Prepare the necessary tools for disassembling and installing gears, such as pullers, presses, wrenches, etc., as well as a clean workspace to prevent impurities from entering the interior of the gearbox.

Precautions during disassembly process

Make proper markings: Before disassembling the gear, corresponding markings should be made, such as the relative position of the worm gear and worm gear, the installation direction of the bearing, etc., to facilitate subsequent installation.

Proper disassembly: When disassembling worm gears and worms, special tools should be used. If the hammering method is used, soft pads such as copper plates should be placed on the shaft head. When the fit between the worm gear and worm and the shaft is too tight, tools such as screw presses and hydraulic jacks can be used for disassembly, and oil at around 120 ℃ should be poured on the worm gear and worm to assist in disassembly.

Check relevant components: During the disassembly process, check whether the gearbox box is deformed or cracked, whether the joint surfaces are smooth, and also check the wear of the bearings. If there is any damage, it should be replaced in a timely manner.

Precautions during installation

Cleaning parts: Clean the gears, shafts, bearings, and other parts to remove oil stains, impurities, and burrs, and use a fine file and sandpaper to smooth the fit between the gears and shafts.

Ensure fit tolerance: Measure the fit tolerance between the gear and the shaft to ensure it meets the standard requirements. If the fit is too tight or too loose, machining and repair are required.

Correct installation of gears: To avoid damaging the shaft, it is recommended to use the temperature difference method to assemble the gears. That is, the gears should be suspended in heated oil at 90-100 ℃. When the inner hole expands evenly, they should be immediately fitted onto the shaft neck. After the position is accurate and correct, they should be naturally cooled.

Adjusting the meshing clearance: After installing the gear, the clearance between the tooth top and tooth side should be adjusted. The actual clearance can be measured using the lead wire method to ensure that it meets the requirements. For newly replaced worm gears or worms, the meshing clearance should be measured. At the same time, apply a layer of red lead powder on the worm gear, and then rotate the worm gear to observe whether the contact spots on the tooth surface when the worm gear meshes with each other meet the standards.
