Installation precautions for WD63-30 worm gear reducer

The installation quality of WD63-30 reducer directly affects the service life and operating status of the equipment. The following specifications must be strictly followed, with a focus on controlling installation accuracy and fixed reliability:

1. Base installation: The installation base should be flat and have sufficient rigidity, with a flatness error of ≤ 0.1mm/m, to avoid equipment vibration caused by loose or deformed base; The anchor bolts are selected as M10-M12 8.8 grade high-strength bolts, matched with flat washers and spring washers. The tightening torque is controlled at 30-40N · m to ensure a tight fit between the body and the base without any loose gaps. After installation, the base should be checked for hollowing to avoid resonance during operation.

2. Coaxiality calibration: The coaxiality between the motor and the input shaft of the reducer, as well as between the reducer and the load shaft, should be controlled within ≤ 0.05mm, with an angular deviation of ≤ 0.02mm. It is recommended to use a dial gauge or laser alignment instrument for calibration. It is strictly prohibited to forcefully connect the coupling, otherwise it will cause the bearing to be subjected to radial force, resulting in heating, vibration, and abnormal noise.

3. Lubrication pre-treatment: After the first installation and before starting, it is necessary to add special lubricating oil for worm gear according to the oil label instructions. It is recommended to use 220 extreme pressure gear oil (including EP additive, suitable for high sliding speed working conditions of worm gear meshing surface), and the oil level should be controlled at 1/2~2/3 height of the oil mirror. Synthetic low-temperature special oil can be used instead in low-temperature environments in the north, and it is strictly prohibited to replace it with ordinary engine oil to avoid insufficient oil film strength leading to increased friction.

4. Detail check: After installation, manually rotate the output shaft, which should feel smooth, without any jamming or abnormal resistance; Check if the oil seal is installed properly to avoid leakage of the shaft head; Clean the body and surrounding debris, ensure smooth heat dissipation, and keep away from heat sources and flammable and explosive materials.
