What should be noted for the installation and maintenance of WHC210-50-4F worm gear reducer

The installation core of WHC210-50-4F worm gear reducer is to ensure coaxiality and firm fixation. The key to maintenance lies in lubricating oil management and component inspection. Specific precautions are as follows:
1、 Installation precautions

Preparation before installation: Check the appearance of the reducer for any bumps or cracks in the castings, and confirm that the input and output shafts rotate smoothly without any jamming. Check the installation surface for smoothness and cleanliness, remove oil stains and burrs, and avoid uneven stress after installation.

Reference alignment requirements: When connecting the motor and reducer, ensure that the coaxiality error of the two shafts is ≤ 0.2mm and the end face runout is ≤ 0.1mm. Priority should be given to using elastic couplings to reduce the impact of installation deviations on bearings and tooth surfaces.

Fixed and directional specifications: Use high-strength bolts to fasten the reducer base, and add anti loosening washers (such as spring washers and anti loosening nuts) to the bolts to avoid loosening caused by operational vibration. Install according to the nameplate markings, ensure that the lubricating oil level meets the requirements, and do not install upside down or tilt at an angle exceeding 15 °.

Pipeline and sealing inspection: If lubrication and cooling pipeline connections are involved, ensure that the interface is well sealed and leak free. After installation, manually rotate the input shaft to confirm that there is no jamming or abnormal noise, and then connect the power for trial operation.

2、 Maintenance precautions

Lubricating oil management: Replace with new lubricating oil after the first 500 hours of operation, and then replace every 2000-3000 hours or annually thereafter. Choose 220 # or 320 # extreme pressure industrial gear oil, and keep the oil level at the centerline of the oil window to avoid heat caused by oil shortage or high oil level.

Regular inspection focus: Check the oil level and temperature every week (normal working temperature ≤ 80 ℃, shutdown for troubleshooting if exceeding 90 ℃), and check the tightening of bolts and leakage of seals every month. Check the tooth surface wear and bearing clearance every 6 months. If pitting, bonding, or abnormal bearing noise is found on the tooth surface, repair and replace it in a timely manner.

Adaptation and maintenance of working conditions: In dusty and humid environments (such as mines and chemical scenes), protective covers should be installed on the gearbox to prevent impurities from entering. Before long-term shutdown (more than 1 month), it is necessary to run without load for 10 minutes, drain the lubricating oil after shutdown, and refill with new oil before restarting.

Fault handling principle: In case of abnormal vibration or increased noise, immediately stop the machine for inspection to eliminate problems such as coaxiality deviation, loose bolts, or worn tooth surfaces. Prohibit forced operation under overload or oil shortage conditions to avoid permanent damage to gears and bearings.
