How to determine whether the K47-75.20-1.5KW gearbox needs major repairs

To determine whether the K47-75.20-1.5KW gearbox needs major repairs, the following aspects can be considered:

Running sound: When the gearbox is running normally, the sound is smooth and uniform. If abnormal noise occurs during operation, such as piercing screams, periodic impact sounds, or obvious friction sounds, it may indicate wear, looseness, or damage to internal components, requiring further inspection and possibly even major repairs.

Vibration situation: Observe the vibration amplitude of the gearbox during operation. If the vibration significantly increases beyond the normal range, it may be caused by gear wear, bearing damage, or problems with the connection between the motor and the reducer, which is often a signal that requires major repairs.

Temperature change: The gearbox will have a certain temperature rise during normal operation, but if the temperature is too high, exceeding the allowable working temperature (usually 80 ℃ -90 ℃), or the temperature rises sharply in a short period of time, it indicates that there may be problems such as overload, poor lubrication, poor heat dissipation, or excessive friction of parts inside the gearbox, and a comprehensive inspection and maintenance are needed.

Lubrication condition: Check the lubricating oil of the gearbox. If there is obvious discoloration, emulsification, increased impurities or low oil level in the lubricating oil, and the oil level still frequently drops after replenishing the oil, it may be due to internal leakage or impurities such as metal shavings caused by part wear mixed into the oil. This may require major repairs to solve the leakage and wear problems. In addition, if the replacement cycle of lubricating oil is significantly shortened, it may also be due to abnormal wear inside the gearbox, which requires further inspection.

Performance degradation: If the output torque of the reducer is significantly reduced, unable to meet the load requirements, or the speed is unstable, resulting in slipping, lagging, and other phenomena, it indicates that the transmission performance of the reducer has been affected, which may be caused by gear wear, loose key connections, and other reasons. At this time, major repairs need to be considered.

Appearance inspection: Check if there are cracks, deformations, or damages on the casing of the gearbox. If these situations exist, it may affect the sealing and structural strength of the gearbox, causing damage to internal components and requiring timely repair. At the same time, check whether the connecting bolts are loose. If they are loose, it may cause vibration and noise, and even damage to the parts. They should be tightened in a timely manner and checked whether the bolts are loose due to other reasons. If necessary, major repairs should be carried out.

Running time: Determine based on the user manual and actual running time of the gearbox. Generally speaking, when the gearbox has been running for a certain number of hours (such as 20000 hours or longer), even if there are no obvious symptoms of malfunction, it is recommended to conduct a comprehensive inspection and maintenance, which may require major repairs to replace some worn and vulnerable parts to ensure the performance and reliability of the gearbox.

If the condition of the gearbox is uncertain, it is best to have professional maintenance personnel inspect and evaluate it. They can use more professional testing tools and methods, such as vibration testers, oil analyzers, etc., to accurately determine whether the gearbox needs major repairs.
