How to repair the broken output shaft of BWE2218-391 cycloidal pinwheel reducer

After the output shaft of BWE2218-391 cycloidal pinwheel reducer breaks, it can be repaired according to the following steps:

1. Preparation before maintenance:

Safety measures: Cut off the power supply, hang a warning sign to prevent accidental power on. Ensure that maintenance personnel are familiar with safety operating procedures and wear protective equipment.

Tools and materials: Prepare suitable disassembly tools such as wrenches, pullers, copper bars, as well as spare parts such as new output shafts, bearings, sealing rings, lubricants, and sealants.

Site cleaning: Clean up the maintenance site, keep it clean and tidy, facilitate operation, and prevent impurities from entering the gearbox.

2. Dismantling the gearbox:

Oil Drain: Open the oil drain hole and drain the lubricating oil from the gearbox into the designated container.

Dismantling related components: First, remove the coupling between the motor and the reducer, then remove the reducer from its installation position. Then, dismantle the end cover, bearing retaining ring, cycloid wheel, eccentric sleeve, and other components of the reducer in sequence, and mark and record them for subsequent assembly.

Remove the output shaft: Carefully remove the broken output shaft from the gearbox, taking care not to damage other components.

3. Check the relevant components:

Output shaft: Observe the location and shape of the fracture of the output shaft, analyze the cause of the fracture, such as whether it is caused by overload, impact, material defects, etc. At the same time, check whether there is wear, deformation, etc. on the keyway, spline and other parts of the shaft.

Bearing: Check whether the bearing that matches the output shaft is worn or damaged. If so, replace it to avoid problems after installing a new shaft.

Cycloid gear and needle gear housing: Check whether the tooth profile of the cycloid gear is intact, whether there is wear, broken teeth, etc., and whether the needle teeth of the needle gear housing are loose or worn. If there is damage, it should be replaced in a timely manner to ensure transmission accuracy.

Other components: Check other components inside the reducer, such as eccentric sleeves, pin shafts, etc., and deal with them together if there are any problems.

4. Install a new output shaft or repair the original output shaft:

Install new shaft: If the output shaft is severely broken and cannot be repaired, a new output shaft needs to be replaced. Clean the new output shaft, apply an appropriate amount of lubricating oil, and install it in the reverse order of disassembly. Use a copper rod or special tool to gently tap to ensure that the shaft is installed in place, and be careful not to damage the shaft and other components. During the installation process, it is necessary to ensure the verticality and concentricity of the shaft.

Repair the original shaft: If the fractured part of the output shaft can be repaired by welding, the fracture surface needs to be cleaned first to remove oil stains, impurities, etc. Then, a suitable welding process should be used for welding. After welding, heat treatment should be carried out to eliminate welding stress, and then the welded part should be mechanically processed to restore the size and accuracy of the shaft. If the keyway or spline on the shaft is worn, it can be repaired by re machining the keyway or spline after welding, or by using a sleeve to repair the wear on the shaft neck.

5. Assembly of gearbox:

Component cleaning: Clean all disassembled components with cleaning agents to remove oil stains, iron filings, and other impurities, and wipe them dry with a clean cloth to ensure that the surface of the parts is clean.
