How to maintain the splash lubrication system of KF97AM160-30.82-M5 reducer

The maintenance core of the splash lubrication system of this model reducer lies in controlling the oil volume, ensuring cleanliness, and regularly checking the sealing and lubrication status to ensure stable and reliable splash lubrication effect. The following are the key maintenance points for the splash lubrication system:

1. Oil level control: Ensure that the immersion depth of the large gear is reasonable
Splash lubrication relies on rotating gears to lift and throw lubricating oil onto bearings and other transmission components. Excessive oil level can lead to increased oil mixing loss and accelerated temperature rise; If the oil level is too low, there will be insufficient lubrication. It is recommended to control the oil level at about twice the full tooth height when the large gear is immersed, and regular inspections can be conducted through oil gauges (such as oil mirrors or dipsticks).

2. Lubricating oil selection and replacement cycle

Extreme pressure gear oil that meets AGMA standards should be selected, especially under high temperature or heavy load conditions, with a recommended viscosity range of 1250-1330 Saybolt seconds (100 ° F).

Lubricating oil should be replaced regularly, generally recommended every 3000-5000 hours of operation or determined based on the results of oil testing, to avoid lubrication failure caused by oil aging and pollution.

3. Sealing component inspection and replacement timing

Regularly check the sealing of input/output shaft ends (such as skeleton oil seals) to prevent dust intrusion or lubricant leakage, especially in high temperature and dusty environments where inspection needs to be strengthened.

If oil leakage, sludge accumulation, or aging and cracking of seals are found, they should be replaced in a timely manner, and ensure good alignment during installation to avoid eccentric wear.

4. Internal cleaning and impurity removal

Regularly open inspection holes or oil discharge ports to clean the metal shavings, oil sludge, and other impurities deposited at the bottom of the box to prevent them from being brought back into the meshing area by splashing oil flow and causing wear.

It is recommended to rinse the inside of the box every time the oil is changed, using specialized cleaning oil or low viscosity lubricating oil to circulate and thoroughly drain it.

5. Monitoring the status of transmission components and connectors

Check the gear meshing status, bearing operating sound, and temperature rise. Abnormal noise or temperature rise may be an early signal of poor lubrication.

Ensure that the connecting bolts, anchor bolts, and other fasteners of the box are not loose to prevent increased vibration from affecting the distribution of lubricating oil.
