How to adjust the gear mesh clearance of the KAZ47-Y1.5-19.58-M3-A hardened gear reducer

Here are some methods to adjust the gear mesh clearance of KAZ47-Y1.5-19.58-M3-A hard tooth surface gear reducer:

Gasket adjustment method:

Principle: By increasing or decreasing the number and thickness of shims between the gear and the bearing, the relative position of the gear can be changed to adjust the gear mesh clearance.

Operation steps: First, disassemble the relevant components of the reducer to expose the gear pair that needs to be adjusted. Use tools such as a feeler gauge or dial gauge to measure the current gear mesh clearance and determine the amount that needs to be adjusted. Based on the measurement results, select a suitable thickness of gasket, add or reduce the number of gaskets, reassemble the gear and measure the clearance again until the appropriate meshing clearance is reached. For example, if excessive clearance is found during measurement, an appropriate thickness of shims can be added to bring the gears closer together and reduce the clearance.

Eccentric sleeve adjustment method:

Principle: Install an eccentric sleeve on one side of the gear, and change its eccentricity by rotating the eccentric sleeve, thereby changing the meshing center distance of the gear and adjusting the gear clearance.

Operation steps: Find the position where the eccentric sleeve is installed on the reducer, and loosen the bolts that fix the eccentric sleeve. According to the direction that needs to be adjusted, slowly rotate the eccentric sleeve and make small adjustments multiple times. After rotating a certain angle, tighten the bolt and measure the gear mesh clearance to observe the adjustment effect. If the gap still does not meet the requirements, the bolt can be loosened again for adjustment until the gap is suitable.

Adjustment of bearing seat position method:

Principle: By changing the position of the reducer bearing seat, the axial spacing between the bevel gear and bevel gear can be adjusted to achieve the purpose of adjusting the gear mesh clearance.

Operation steps: First, determine the bearing seat that needs to be adjusted and loosen the fixing bolts of the bearing seat. Use tools such as pry bars to carefully move the bearing seat and change its relative position with the gear. After moving, tighten the bolts and measure the gear mesh clearance. Based on the measurement results, determine whether it is necessary to continue adjusting the position of the bearing seat until the clearance meets the requirements.

After the adjustment is completed, it is necessary to conduct a trial run of the reducer, observe the operation of the gears, and ensure that there is no abnormal noise or vibration. At the same time, during the adjustment process, it is necessary to strictly follow the operating procedures and preferably be operated by professional technicians to avoid damage to the gearbox due to improper operation.
