When installing the ZLYJ450-18-V reducer for the rubber screw extruder, how to check concentricity

When installing the ZLYJ450-18-V reducer for rubber screw extruder, the concentricity can be checked by the following methods:

Preliminary inspection:

Equipment in place: Install the drive components (such as motors) of the reducer and rubber screw extruder on their respective foundations, ensuring that the foundations are stable and level. You can use a spirit level to check the levelness of the foundation, and adjust it if there are any unevenness.

Roughly aligned: Place the motor and reducer roughly in the predetermined position, visually inspect or use a ruler to check the basic alignment of their axis lines, so that their centers are on the same straight line when initially observed, reducing the workload of subsequent precise adjustments.

Accurate measurement:

Axial adjustment: Adjust the position of the motor or reducer to ensure that the axial clearance between the two shafts meets the manufacturer's recommended value. You can use shims or adjustment bolts to adjust the axial clearance.

Radial adjustment: Use a feeler gauge to measure the clearance between the two shaft end faces, ensuring even radial clearance. If the gap is uneven, it may be necessary to adjust the position of the motor or reducer, or use shims for compensation.

Use professional tools such as coupling aligners, laser aligners, or micrometers for more accurate measurements. Taking a dial gauge as an example, fix the dial gauge on the input shaft or motor shaft of the reducer, so that the gauge head contacts the surface of the other shaft, then slowly rotate the shaft, observe the reading change of the dial gauge, adjust the position of the shaft according to the reading, and make the concentricity of the two shafts reach the minimum deviation.

Final confirmation: After confirming the alignment is correct, fix the anchor bolts of the motor and reducer, and check the axial and radial clearances again to ensure that there are no changes. If conditions permit, a trial run can be conducted and the concentricity can be checked again using measuring tools during the operation of the equipment, as the concentricity may change due to factors such as stress during operation. If there are any changes, the machine needs to be stopped and readjusted until the concentricity meets the requirements.
